FBA makes selling on Amazon sound very enticing - Amazon does all the work, and ships your inventory to customers in just 2 days.
However, one thing that people don’t think about is what needs to happen behind the scenes in order for those items to be ready for prime shipping.
The main focus of this post is to educate you on what actually happens to your inventory from when you send it in to the customer receiving it at their doorstep. This will also address some common questions I receive such as:
“How long does it take before my items go up for sale?”
“Why does it say I have zero units in stock?”
“I live near a fulfillment center, can I drop stuff off there?”
Inbound Shipping
When creating your shipment, Amazon will assign you a fulfillment center to send your stuff to. This will NOT be the fulfillment center closest to you.
