Q4 is by far the most important time of the year for any Amazon seller - demand goes way up, consumer spending goes way up, and every retailer is having some sort of sale.
The volume on Amazon in December is always crazy regardless of economic factors. If little Timmy wants that new LEGO set, his parents will do everything in their power to get it for him. Anyone who’s experienced a Q4 or two will tell you it’s unlike anything they’ve ever seen before, and there’s a lot of money to be made.
However, there’s a lot of shit advice on Amazon Twitter / YouTube on how to approach Q4 - I’m going to explain why some of this well-intentioned advice is not optimal and what you should do if you want to double your sales in December.
The Q4 Stereotype
The Q4 playbook that a lot of people peddle looks something like this:
Buy lots of toys
Ship all of your stuff FBA by the end of November
Take the rest of the year off and watch the sales roll in
